Tennis results against Ellesmere College
Saturday 5 May – Girls’ Tennis v Ellesmere College (away)
The junior girls travelled away to Ellesmere College on Saturday on a sunny but cold day.
The morning got under way with the U14 and U15s playing first. Hannah Cashell and Abigail Klazinga played some excellent rallies winning excellent points off smashes at the net. Seren Kerfoot-Robson and Anne Gerken had fantastic games losing two sets on sudden death deuce.
The U15s 1st couple, Georgina Pullman and Annabelle Harrison, won 2 of their 3 sets and played some excellent rallies to secure their wins.
The U13s and U12s showed great improvement from last week. With better communication on court Sam Randall and Olivia Williams won their first set and Becky Lawton and Emily Cashell adapted well and secured wins in 6 of their games.
The U13s had a last minute replacement with Jessie Cheng being pulled out of bed Saturday morning. Despite the late notice and lack of experience both Amelia Perring and Jessie played well throughout the morning. The overall game score was by no means reflective of the closeness of points with the majority of games reaching deuce before they were lost.
The overall results:
U15 lost 17 games to 32
U14 lost 18 games to 31
U13 lost 3 games to 36
U12 lost 14 games to 26.
Well done to all those who took part.
