Tennis success continues for brother and sister
Rydal Penrhos School pupils Ellie Scarff, 12 and Adam Scarff, 18 have both been selected to represent North Wales in the AEGON 18U County Cup tournament on 2 & 3 March 2012 held at Graves Tennis and Leisure Centre in Sheffield.
The tournament comes at the end of a very successful February for Ellie who won the title of Scottish 12U Indoor Champion at the Scottish Open Indoor Championships held in Glasgow at the beginning of the month. Ellie beat Lancashire player Olivia Peet 6-4, 2-6 [10-6] in the final of the competition. Ellie has also been crowned the City of Liverpool 12U Champion following her fantastic win in the final at City of Liverpool Junior Indoor Tournament held in Wavertree, Liverpool.
Ellie is now the number 1 ranked player in North Wales in the Under 12 and Under 14 category and an impressive number 5 in the Under 16 category. Meanwhile, Adam is currently ranked number 3 in the fiercely competitive Under 18 category.
