Monday 20 September – hockey match report
Saturday 18 September
The 1st XI made further progress on Saturday, with a very encouraging performance against a strong Old Girls side. An early goal from Lydia Parry settled the nervousness of the side, and despite pressure from the opposition, the defence tackled well and were ably supported by Natalia Holgate in goal.
This meant that when opportunities came the way of the school, there were chances to extend the lead. Myriam Langenstein in the first half, and captain Emily Wynn (twice) in the second half did just that, and the final score was 4-0. This was a highly commendable performance against many players who had enjoyed considerable success whilst members of the school.
