Founders’ weekend celebrations continued on Saturday afternoon with the 1st netball team taking on the Old Girls. This was their first game of the season captained by Catherine Davies and debut outings for Emily Carr as goal shooter and Sarah White as goal defence.

The old girls team was made up of ladies who had attended the U18/U16 national netball finals during their time in school and included shooters who very rarely missed a shot. As a result the game was dominated by the Old Girls, but as Rydal Penrhos got into their stride there was more fluency in their performance, and by keeping it simple, they were able to create some very good attacking play. The 1st team’s performance on the afternoon demonstrated a lot of promise and gave a clear indication of the potential the team has. Final score 35 -10 to the Old Girls.
