Girls play netball through the Spring term, with some preseason Wednesday matches and training taking place in the Autumn term. Block fixtures are played on Saturday mornings both indoor, in our heated sports hall, or outdoor on our New Field and Oak Drive sites where we have an additional six courts and match tea facilities.

The 1st VII captain is a much sought after position and is considered a significant responsibility to hold but within the squad she is supported by a number of talented individuals who usually gained representative honours featuring in North Wales regional squads or performance “hubs”.

Friendly matches take place on a weekly basis against other independent schools across Cheshire, Lancashire and Shropshire. In addition to this we also take part in regional and national competitions in pursuit of national success at senior level.

The school tours on a regular basis to which is always exciting and challenging for pupils. Head of Netball Nicky Head leads coaching across the school, assisted by other experienced games staff including Mrs Bakewell who is a lead coach in the welsh Netball Hubs. We have very good links with Welsh Netball and the school’s superb facilities are used by them for their national squad training camps.

One of our most successful graduates from the school has been Suzy Drane who has more than 75 caps for Wales and plays in the Super League for the Celtic Dragons.
