Director of Music
Required for September 2012
An inspirational musician and leader is required to lead the Music Department of Rydal Penrhos School, with responsibility for music teaching and music making across the whole school. The successful candidate will be passionate and well-qualified, with the vision and energy to develop further a successful department.
Rydal Penrhos is an all age coeducational, independent day and boarding school for children aged between 2½ and 18 years. It comprises Rydal Penrhos Preparatory School and the Senior School, and has its own salary scale and allowances. Staff are expected to contribute to the school’s full pastoral and extra-curricular programme.

Part Time Clerk to the Board of Directors
(7 hours per week, usually on a Friday, term time only)
We require a part-time Clerk to the Board of Directors of Rydal Penrhos School to provide them with administrative and clerical support. The work involves attending the Governors meetings and taking the minutes, typing the minutes and then liaison with the meeting Chairman to agree the final version. The role is also responsible for maintaining details of membership and general administration duties.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of taking confidential minutes and good secretarial and administration duties including good IT skills. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with confidential information.
Rate of Pay: in the region of £3,500 (£12.50 per hour) dependent on experience
