International pupils
Welcome to Rydal Penrhos School
This section of the website will direct you to aspects of school life which are particularly relevant to overseas pupils, including English as a Foreign Language (EFL), boarding, guardianship, health, fees, transport and visas.
Coming to study abroad is a daunting prospect, but at Rydal Penrhos our overseas pupils are fully integrated to ensure that they become active members of the school community right from the start. They are welcomed into the same boarding houses, the same competitive houses and the same tutor groups as every other pupil in the school.
There is a strong pastoral care framework in place to help all pupils with any issues they may face during their time here. Our houseparents provide invaluable support to boarders, and form tutors are on hand to help with any academic concerns. The Health Centre also plays a vital role in keeping pupils happy and healthy while they are away from home.
We embrace pupils from all countries and believe that our school community of 25 different nationalities provides a great opportunity for pupils and staff alike to learn more about the many cultures represented in the school.
Rydal Penrhos was founded in the Methodist tradition and a Christian ethos is at the heart of school life, however we welcome pupils from all faiths or none, and value this diversity.
