The Welsh Department began in earnest at Rydal Penrhos School in September 2007. Not only were the sounds of the language of interest to the international pupils, but it was also welcomed by teachers, pupils and, especially, their parents, who wanted their children to have some knowledge of the language and the culture of the country in which they resided.
