A talented Preparatory School pupil has become the latest to complete a special spelling challenge.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
This week saw yet another pupil achieve Stage Three Gold, with Year 4 pupil Zack Coverley producing a wonderful effort to gain success.
He received her certificate at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, June 23.
There was further success in the form of Jonah Craddock, who is now just one step away from completion after gaining his Stage Three Silver award, while James Gilman secured his Stage Three Bronze award to move within two steps of gold.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who started the scheme, said: “This challenge is something that has really inspired our pupils, and it is fantastic to see so many thriving as they strive for gold.
“Congratulations to Zack for producing a fantastic effort to complete the task, and to Jonah and James for getting one step closer to their overall target.
“Hopefully we have plenty more to celebrate in the coming weeks, with a number of our pupils now getting close to reaching their goal.”
