A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos has received a number of conditional university offers from high-profile further education establishments across the country.
Zac Blomeley, a Year 13 pupil at the school, successfully secured five degree options relating to the maritime industry pending he secures the necessary A-level results this summer.
The 17-year-old received two places at the University of Southampton on their Oceanography and Ship Science/Naval Architecture courses, and he also has the option of studying Ocean Sciences at the University of Liverpool.
The pupil has also received an offer to study Marine Geography at the University of Cardiff, and Zach rounded off a superb application process with a conditional offer on the Ocean Science course at the University of Plymouth.
Zac has been a huge part of the Rydal Penrhos community since arriving as a Year 7 pupil in 2012, achieving a considerable amount both academically and from a co-curricular perspective.
His efforts with Rydal Penrhos’ thriving Sailing department have brought some truly exceptional region, national and international successes, and Zac has also been part of the RYA Cymru Wales and Team GB youth squads over a consistent period thanks to his sterling efforts with boat partner Ewan Luke.
