A number of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional contribution to Rydal Penrhos life with coveted appointments.
Prep School Head Alison Hind announced the appointment of four new Prefects for the remainder of the academic year after they impressed her and other staff members considerably with their application, attitude and leadership during the first term of the academic year.
William Hibbert, Rana Abou-Samra, Louis Walkden-Williams and Will McLaughlin officially received confirmation of their new roles at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, December 14.
They will be working closely with Head Boy Ellis Lister-Brookes, Head Girl Grace Watkins and other appointed Deputies and Prefects during special events at the school such as Concerts and Open Mornings.
In addition, the quartet will offer support and guidance to younger members of the Rydal Penrhos community during their final few month before the transition to Senior School life.
Mrs Hind, said: “Williams, Rana, Louis and Will have worked incredibly hard and are thoroughly deserving of their new Prefect positions, so I have great confidence that they are going to thrive with the extra responsibility and work well with those who were selected earlier this year.
“Being a Prefect is something that gives each pupil an enormous sense of pride, which stands them in good stead in terms of building confidence, leadership and communication qualities and their overall development in general.”
