Talented rugby stars at Rydal Penrhos battled it out for valuable house points at an annual event recently.
The school held its annual inter-house rugby competition earlier this month, which drew a huge amount of support from pupils, staff and parents to New Field.
Junior, Intermediate and Senior competitions were held throughout the day, with the winner determined by the overal points tally from each category.
The Junior title was awarded to Osborn after they finished above Payne by virtue of a single try, while the Intermediate tournament was claimed in convincing style by Morgan.
All eyes then turned to the Senior showcase which saw a Wesley team featuring RGC U18 stars Sean Hughes and Henry Maitland-Davies, together with Lancashire U18 squad member Kieron McNamara, claim the spoils.
Their impressive performance was enough to give Wesley the overall crown, with Morgan, Osborn and Payne close behind after a highly competitive event.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Our inter-house competitions are always played in the right spirit and each pupil showed an enormous amount of passion throughout.
“Congratulations go to Wesley on their overall victory, but they were made to work very hard for the honour thanks to some exceptional play and teamwork from the remaining houses, for which they can be very proud.
“It was also fantastic to see so many supporters cheering our young rugby players on, and I know this provided them with a great sense of motivation to give their all.”
