A talented Drama pupil at Rydal Penrhos has been rewarded for his outstanding progression with a special award.
Teddy Roberts, a Year 11 pupil at the school, was presented with the Director of Drama Award for Most Improved Student at the second annual Creative and Performing Arts dinner, which took place at the Sixth Form Ferguson Centre on Wednesday, April 3.
The 16-year-old’s confidence in a dramatic environment has come on leaps and bounds since Teddy decided to take on Drama as a GCSE subject, and this was further reflected with an exceptional performance during their recent examination in front of a live audience.
Teddy has achieved a considerable amount since arriving as Rydal Penrhos as a Reception class pupil back in 2006, which has included national titles in Swimming and Hockey.
He received his award from Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding and Head of Drama Rachel Jones at the celebration.
Mrs Harding, said: “Teddy has been tremendously committed to improving everything related to his acting and presence on stage, and he is very deserving of the Most Improved Student Award this year.
“He is a confident young man who is improving across all areas of life here at Rydal Penrhos, and his drive and determination is matched by the support each pupil receives from our superb staff team.”
