A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos has received a number of outstanding university offers following a successful application process.
Tasmin Iacobellis, a Year 13 pupil at the school, has been rewarded for her exceptional application to her studies with five conditional offers from further education establishments across the country.
The 17-year-old is looking to pursue a career in the Biomedical Science industry and secured a place at Manchester Metropolitan University to study the topic at degree level.
She also managed to attain conditional offers from the University of Liverpool, Birmingham University, the University of Leeds and Cardiff University on their Biomedical Sciences course pending the necessary A-level results this summer.
The impressive offers are a reflection on the development academically that Tasmin has made since arriving at Rydal Penrhos as a Year 7 pupil in 2012, and she has also emerged as a key contributor to Sixth Form life as well as enhancing her key eye in photography.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Tasmin has worked immensely hard throughout her time here at Rydal Penrhos, and it is so heart-warming to see this reflected in some exceptional university offers.
“She is a pupil who lets her achievements do the talking and goes about her studies in a relaxed and professional manner, and I wish her the very best of luck with her upcoming A-level examinations as Tasmin looks to officially secure her university place next year.”
