A pair of staff members at Rydal Penrhos completed a gruelling half marathon last weekend.
Sarah James and Andrea Cashell joined hundreds of other runners at the North Wales Half Marathon, which was held in Conwy on Saturday, July 29.
Set between the mountains and sea near Conwy, the race started and finished on the beach next to the Mulberry marina and crossed into the Snowdonia National Park along the way.
The gruelling race was tackled with fantastic commitment by the duo, with Mrs Cashell crossing the line in a time of two hours and 18 minutes.
She was shortly followed over the line by Ms James, who recorded at time of two hours and 26 minutes, which was the same as former pupil Lizzie Richards who she met along the way.
This is the latest step in their preparations ahead of their Chester Marathon appearance later this year, where they will be running in memory of a former Principal at Rydal Penrhos.
They will be running to raise fund for Motor Neurone Disease, which is a charity which is close to the heart of Ms James, with father and former Principal Michael James passing away in 2009 as a result of the disease.
