Preparatory School sports teams recorded a number of impressive results in a series of fixtures this week.
Rydal Penrhos’ Netball and Rugby sides continued their fine start to the campaign with notable victories in their contests with St David’s College and Altrincham Prep School across a number of age groups.
The U11 netball side recorded an impressive 7-0 triumph over St David’s, and raced to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to impressive play from the likes of Ariana Milligan, Caitriona Searl and Eleanor Tunstall.
Thanks to superb shooting from Phoebe Pritchett and a man-of-the-match effort from Eleanor, the hosts were able to add four more to their tally after the break to record a convincing success.
There was further cause for celebration in the form of the Year 3 rugby side, who secured two wins and two draws in their mini-games at Altrincham.
After drawing the first tie 2-2, the visitors managed to turn in back-to-back 3-2 victories thanks to standout performances from Archie Jeeves, Nathan Richards, Rafe Tunstall and Dominic Chamberlain, before drawing the final game 2-2.
Not to be outdone, the U9 rugby side also achieved similar success, beating their opponents 5-2 with tries from Cieran Milligan, Tristan Griffiths and Freddie MacLaverty in what was another flawless display from the young stars.
