Three Preparatory School pupils have successfully come through the first of a thriving academic initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised the popular Spelling Challenge scheme for pupils in 2017, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, with the trio receiving their respective accolades from Executive Principal John Waszek and Assistant Head Catherine Hughes at the weekly Prep School Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 3.
Erin Mart is now the proud owner of a Stage Two Bronze Award after coming through her recent assessment with flying colours, with Xavier Poynton also achieving a notable score in the same level of difficulty.
Rounding off the successes was Oscar Jewsbury, who also sealed his Stage Two Bronze Award, and the trio have already begun working hard with Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff team with a view to securing further accolades in the near future.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Erin, Xavier and Oscar have all shown tremendous application to our Spelling Challenge, and this is reflected with some extremely impressive recent results.
“Hopefully this is a trend they can continue going forward, and I am personally thrilled to see so many of our pupils really embracing our Spelling Challenge to enhance their overall development within a classroom environment considerably.”
