A number of Preparatory School pupils achieved notable success to round off another outstanding academic year for a thriving initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised the popular Spelling Challenge scheme for pupils in 2017, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, with the successful pupils receiving their respective accolades from Prep School Head Alison Hind at the final Celebration Assembly of the academic year on Friday, June 28.
Eryn Mart, Steffan Atenstaedt and Ella Payne are now the proud owners of a Stage Two Silver Award after coming through their assessments with flying colours, with Tomas Milligan securing Stage Two Bronze success.
Hard-working Ava Culver will move on to the next level of the initiative at the start of the new school year after attaining her Stage One Gold Award, and the quartet of Angus Holland, Archie Jeeves, Charlie Lister-Brookes and Jenson Hodgson-Roberts rounded off the term’s triumphs with Stage One Silver distinctions.
Mrs Hind, said: “Our Spelling Challenge has grown in stature once again during the academic year, which is down to the enthusiasm shown by each pupil here at our Prep School and the incredible support they receive from our staff team.
“The challenge has been a significant asset in terms of their overall development and I am confident this is going to continue next year and long into the future.”
