A host of talented young swimmers took to the water in pursuit of House glory at a special competition.
The school held its annual Pre-Prep Swimming Gala earlier this month, which saw the youngest members of the Rydal Penrhos community descend on the pool in the hope of securing victory for their house.
There were a host of impressive performances throughout the event, with the Year 2 race between Tomas Milligan, Xavier Poynton and Oscar Jewsbury producing a thrilling finish.
After an immensely competitive morning of action, Snowdon were crowned the overall winners with an overall score of 72 points from their collective effort.
Brecon secured second spot with 62 points, with Pembroke rounding off the placings with a score of 52.
The success of the event is a testament to the work being done by the school’s dedicated swimming staff, who work tirelessly with each Prep School pupil during specialist lessons to teach them the basics and improve their overall technique.
Head of Swimming Maciej Ruszkowski, said: “The standard and commitment shown by each pupil involved was very pleasing indeed, and everyone that took part deserves an enormous amount of credit.
“Our Pre-Prep Gala always generates an enormous amount excitement and this year was no different, and it was great to see everyone competing in the right spirit and all encouraging each other throughout.”
