All things related to the Performing Arts were celebrated at an annual Preparatory School competition recently.
Rydal Penrhos’ Inter-House Art, Drama and Music competition was held on Friday, March 21, which saw a large audience of staff, pupils and parents descend on the School Hall for the event.
There were a host of categories that all year groups participated throughout the competition, which resulted in a series of outstanding performances from some of the brightest talent within the Rydal Penrhos community.
Among the highlights from the event was a sensational drum solo from Year 6 pupil Tristan Griffiths, with the Piano contributions from Zack Coverley, Rana Abou-Samra and Fflur Pierce other standout features from the showcase.
The vocal quality of Charlotte Payne, Lily Copeland, Tilly Trueman, Dominic Chamberlain, Will Glanville, Xavier Poynton, Ella Payne and Lucy Ranales-Griffiths also came across in their respective performances, with some stunning creations from the Prep School’s most creative artists was another eye-catching element of the competition.
After a very competitive afternoon of entertainment, Snowdon House emerged victorious from the event and picked up some valuable points in their pursuit of the overall crown at the end of the academic year.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “It was wonderful to see so many of our young performers and artists once again showcasing their incredible talent at this particular competition, which was another rousing success.
“Their ability to perform so well in front of a live audience is a testament to the coaching they receive here at Rydal Penrhos and their ability to rise to a specific occasion and further enhance their respective experiences.”
