A host of Preparatory School pupils gained further success as part of a special spelling challenge.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a plethora of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Violet Roberts and Gracie Tavernor are now just two steps away from completing the Challenge after securing Stage Three Bronze Awards, with Ellie Knight securing a Stage Two Gold triumph.
Rounding off the success were the quartet of Noah Roberts, Felix Griffin, William Cheesley and Shane Ayeni, who are now on to the final level of the initiative after coming through their Stage Two Gold assessment with flying colours.
Each successful pupil received a certificate acknowledging their achievements from Prep School Head Alison Hind from Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, February 1.
Mrs Hind, said: “Our Spelling Challenge is something that has proved to be a huge hit with our pupils, and it is a great way for them to improve their overall vocabulary and have some fun in the process.
“This gives them a great sense of pride and they can be enormously proud of their respective achievements.”
