Seven secure Senior School scholarships

A large number of Preparatory School pupils have been awarded scholarships to Rydal Penrhos’ senior site in September.

The seven successful applicants impressed considerably during their assessment process across various departments, and they all received the news at the annual Prep School Speech Day held prior to the summer break.

Head Boy James Gilman is following in the footsteps of sister Elysia after securing an Art scholarship, with Will Rutherford’s outstanding performance on stage gaining him a Drama scholarship.

Jasmin Beckett-Donald and Ethan Akroyd were the proud recipients' of Sports scholarships, and Isabella Peevor’s exceptional year of achievement saw her secure an Art scholarship.

Rounding off the awards were Liam Farrell and Perry Williams, who both accepted Academic and Music scholarships ahead of their September start.

Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “This is outstanding news and congratulations go to all our successful scholarship award winners.

“We have a rich history of pupils that make a huge contribution to life at Rydal Penrhos thanks in no small part to the support and guidance they receive during the initial stages of their education and overall development here at the Prep School.

“I am confident that each of them, along with the other Year 6 pupils that are attending the Senior School, will continue to flourish under the care and support of our hard-working and committed staff, and everyone at the Prep School wishes them all the very best of luck.”
