Rydal Penrhos has agreed a deal with a global kit supplier ahead of the new academic year.
The school has announced that Canterbury New Zealand will be providing sports clothing for all areas including rugby, hockey, netball, tennis and golf.
Established in 1904 in the province of Canterbury by three English expats, Canterbury started out making tough woollen garments for the challenging New Zealand weather, before being asked to make uniforms in World War I for the Australian and New Zealand armies.
Later, the company designed an on-field kit for the All Blacks rugby team and it is now a household name across the world, and recently supplied the British and Irish Lions squad with their kit for their highly successful tour of New Zealand.
In addition to sports kit, Canterbury will also be producing some exciting throwback jerseys that will be available to purchase later this year.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “We are delighted to be working with Canterbury, who are widely regarded as one of the top kit suppliers anywhere in the world.
“Their designs for our new kit look truly outstanding, and hopefully it will further enhance the fantastic reputation we already have here at Rydal Penrhos.”
A number of worthwhile charities will feature on the kits, with information on these to be announced in the coming days.
