A host of sailing stars at Rydal Penrhos performed well in the latest leg of a high-profile regional competition.
No fewer than nine pupils took to the water at the picturesque Llyn Brenig for the North Wales Club Youth Racing Circuit on Saturday, July 21, and the group managed to record some impressive results to continue their excellent form in the competition.
The brother duo of Eddie and Kevin Farrell demonstrated their prowess with second place in the General Handicap fleet, with Aidan Skinner maintaining his cushion at the top of the overall standings after crossing the line in third.
Liam Farrell, who will be joining the Senior School in September after a fine contribution to Prep life, turned in a fine effort to finish fourth in the same category.
There was further sibling success in the form of Llion and Sophie Morris, who both finished second in the Topper Gold and Optimist Regatta events respectively, with the former holding on to his lead at the summit after an exceptional series to date.
Christian Cheesley produced an encouraging effort on his return to competitive action to finish second in the Topper Silver fleet, with Year 5 pupil Chloe Tillman-Lennon securing a third-place finish in the Tera Sport category.
Rounding of the Rydal Penrhos successes was Zac Roberts, who crossed the line in third position in the Optimist Gold race.
There is a short break in the series before it resumes for the final leg at Shotwick Lake Sailing Club on October 20 where the overall winners will be decided.
