Rydal Penrhos’ thriving Sailing department has announced exciting plans as part of its annual Activity Week event.
The RYA Accredited provision will be heading to picturesque Abersoch once again during the final week of the academic year for a four-night, five-day Sailing and Water-Sports tour from June 30 until July 4.
Those in attendance will get settled in and get on the water for a sailing session during day one, before enjoying Sailing and Wind-Surfing sessions in addition to an evening barbecue during an action-packed second day of activities.
A full-day sailing focussing on expedition and navigation to unexplored beaches and bays is scheduled for day three of the tour, and a busy fourth day will see the group take part in adventure swimming, coast walking, scrambling, sea level traversing, sailing and wind-surfing.
The tour will conclude with a sailing and wind surfing activity before returning to Rydal Penrhos to round-off what is set to be another exceptional experience for aspiring sailors.
Head of Sailing Max Todd and Dan Rippon will be leading the tour as chief instructors, and they will be aided by other specialist coaching staff at the school during the trip.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “The annual Sailing and Water-Sports Tour is always something that really excites those that attend, and our dedicated and hard-working staff do a fantastic job of providing a fun-filled schedule that will develop all areas of their skills considerably.”
