A large number of talented rugby stars have been rewarded for a fine season with individual awards.
After another XV season drew to a close, the U16-U12 accolades were dished out at the school’s end of term Prizegiving on Thursday, December 14.
Sam Bixby has enjoyed a memorable campaign with the U16 side, which has seen him also turn out for RGC West, and he was a deserved winner of the Player of the Season Award, with Edward Patrick getting the Most Improved honour after demonstrating immense progression in his overall game.
The Most Improved without Previous Experience was presented to Nils Memmi-Bostrom.
Another RGC West squad member was given the U15 Player of the Year award in the form of Finlay Hare, with RGC East standout George Smith-Edwards (Most Improved) and Sten Lai (Most Improved no Previous Experience) also receiving recognition.
The impressive Tom Hughes won the U14 Player of the Year after a dominant series of performances, with Joe Allen (Most Improved) and Damisola Animashaun (Most Improved no Previous Experience) rounding off the triumphs.
In the U13 category, Josh Stewart obtained the Player of the Year Award after another successful season, and Dominic Vos’ commitment throughout a tough series of fixtures gave him the Most Improved distinction.
It has been a fantastic campaign from the U12 side with a plethora of notable scalps, and Zac Roberts’ outstanding contribution resulted in him winning the Player of the Year.
Scott Hewitt also played a huge part and secured the Most Improved accolade.
