Tomos Davies, a Year 13 pupil at the school, was named in the Welsh Academicals squad that took on Llandovery College on Wednesday, January 9, and the talented forward produced a fine performance as the Accies’ emerged victorious by a narrow margin of 38-31.

He enjoyed a fantastic campaign with the school’s senior side thanks to a series of standout displays, and he is also a representative of Bangor Rugby Club.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “It was great to see Tomos’ hard work paying off with a deserved selection to the Welsh Academicals squad, and he acquitted himself superbly throughout the fixture.
“He is another shining example of our sports scholarship programme here at Rydal Penrhos, which has produced a huge number of athletes that are performing at a national and international level across a multitude of different areas.
“This is a testament to the dedication shown by our coaching and teaching staff, and the way each pupil under the initiative really buys into our product in order to thrive.”
