Preparatory School rugby hopefuls competed for bragging rights at a special competition prior to the Easter break.
Rydal Penrhos’ annual Inter-House Rugby competition took place on Tuesday, April 2 and saw Year 3-6 participate in a series of round-robin fixtures to determine the overall winner.
There were a host of impressive individual and team performances throughout the event, with the likes of Shane Ayeni, Felix Griffin and James Davies shining for the younger sides in action.
One side stood out throughout and produced a series of exceptional displays to emerge from the competition unbeaten, ensuring Pembroke House emerged as the well-deserved winners after a superb afternoon of competitive action.
House Captain Freddie Barrington-Chance picked up the coveted trophy from Prep School Head Alison Hind at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, April 5.
Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod, said: “The standard was once again incredibly high and everyone that competed contributed to the enormous success of the competition.
“It has been another superb season across all age groups, with every side developing their skills and they also managed to retain the Cooper Cup in what is their biggest competition of the season.
“Congratulations to Pembroke on their victory, and I would like to also commend every pupil on the way they conducted themselves throughout the competition.”
