Rob set to embark on 16-date US tour with Catfish and the Bottlemen

A former Rydal Penrhos pupil is set to embark on a mammoth tour of the United States as part of his chart-topping band Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Rob Hall, who left the school in 2011, is a drummer with the Llandudno rockers, who have enjoyed a phenomenal amount of success across the globe during what has been a meteoric rise to stardom.

Tickets for the 16-date tour went on sale on Friday, January 11, with their performance at the Brooklyn Steel in New York already sold out.

They begin with a gig at the Egyptian Room at Old National Centre in Indianapolis, before taking their talents to The Pageant and the House of Blues in Saint Louis and Houston.

This will be followed by shows in Dallas, Phoenix and San Diego, before the Bottlemen embark on a landmark gig at the Hollywood Palladium in California on March 22.

The tour continues at high-profile cities such as San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Salt Lake City, before they conclude their busy schedule at venues in Denver, Kansas City, Columbus and New York.

The band, who released their first new material in three years last week with the well-received Longshot, are looking to increase their status across America after the outstanding success of their first two albums The Balcony and The Ride, with the latter reaching number one in the UK Charts.

Anyone wishing to purchase tickets for the tour can do so online at www.catfishandthebottlemen.com/live.
