Rydal Penrhos is thrilled to announce its Wesley House Captains for the 2019/20 academic year.
The school’s Head of Sixth Form Leah Crimes revealed that Raha Aminnejad and William Stewart will assume the role following a successful application process, taking over from Upper Sixth Form duo Grace Ormerod and Josh Thomas.
All House Captains this year will also be part of the Prefect Team, working with newly appointed Head Boy Ioan Peake-Jones and Head Girl Millie Collins to ensure the smooth running of the school from a pupil perspective.
Raha has been one of the standout contributors to Lower Sixth Form life and joined the school in Year 7, developing her academic skills considerably and also demonstrating a key eye for art.
She is also co-chair of the Sixth Form Eco Committee and recently scooped an Effort and Attainment Prize thanks to her outstanding dedication to her studies.
Will is another that is thriving thanks to the opportunities afforded to him at Rydal Penrhos, with the pupil part of the recent landmark trip to India last summer.
His GCSE results last summer were of a very high standard, and he has carried this on during the first year of his A-level options.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “We are very fortunate to have incredible ambassadors for the school within our Lower Sixth Form group, with Raha and Will prime examples of this.
“Their commitment, enthusiasm and ability to motivate is sure to make them valuable House Captains for Wesley, and they are thoroughly deserving of their respective appointments.”
