A Preparatory School quartet successfully climbed the ladder of an ongoing academic initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised the popular scheme for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and the hard work put in by four pupils under the guidance of dedicated staff at the school has seen them gain further success.
The Year 3 duo of Areesha Owais and Emily Nurse will both move on to the next level of the challenge after coming through their Stage One Gold Award assessment with flying colours, while James Davies is now the proud owner of a Stage One Silver certificate.
Rounding off the achievements was Year 6 pupil Matthew Johnson, who secured his Stage Two Bronze Award, and all four received their certificates from Year 2 teacher Gaynor Davies at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, April 20.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who devised the challenge last year, said: “This is yet more proof of just how much each pupil is progressing with their vocabulary thanks to both their sterling work and the support they are receiving from our fantastic staff.
“Gaining academic success from the challenge is something that is a great source of pride for our pupils, so hopefully this is a trend that can continue long into the future.”
