Preparatory School pupils got creative as part of a special Eco-themed competition.
The school’s Eco Committee launched a special project where creative pupils were tasked with making their very own bag out of an unwanted t-shirt.
This received an incredible response from the Prep School community, with teacher and Eco leader Julie Woodthorpe announcing the winners from each year group during Rydal Penrhos’ final Celebration Assembly before the Easter break.
Ella Payne emerged victorious from Year 3 thanks to her outstanding design, with Jorvan Toor also rewarded for his outstanding dedication to the competition with the Year 4 winning entry.
Year 5 pupil Ellie Knight scooped the prize from her category, and Freya Berklay rounded off the achievements with the Year 6 award.
Each pupil received an Easter egg in recognition of their excellent contributions to another very worthwhile exercise.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “This was something that really captured the imagination of our very enthusiastic children, and this was reflected with some outstanding end products.
“Our Eco Committee do so much good throughout our beautiful part of the world here at Rydal Penrhos, and activities like this not only inspire creativity, but also make them aware of the benefits and essential need of recycling.”
