In the lead-up to our Open Morning events in April, we will be taking a look at the pupils that make Rydal Penrhos such a fantastic place to live and learn.
The final Prep School pupil under the spotlight is Fleur Roberts:
- Name: Fleur Roberts
- Year group: Year 5
- Pupil status: Prep
- House: Brecon
Charming, self-assured and full of life, Fleur is another Prep School pupil who is thriving in her environment thanks to her ability to embrace every challenge and get the most out of every day.
The younger sister of Year 5 pupil Theo, the eight-year-old has risen through the ranks at Rydal Penrhos with aplomb since joining as a Nursery child in 2011, and she continues to make full use of the academic and co-curricular opportunities available to her thanks to the well-rounded programme provided by Rydal Penrhos.
She is a polite and courteous member of the school community and always demonstrates a keen willingness to help others, while also contributing significantly to various concerts throughout the year thanks to her impressive vocal ability.
Her performance on stage during the Year 4 play A Midsummer Night’s Dream alongside classmates Agatha Favill, Tilly Trueman, Ellie Knight, Eloise Brown and Cammie de la Mare Norris was one of the highlights of the two-night performance.
The Brecon House member is also a very talented netball player and has developed her game considerably during the academic year under the leadership of Head of Girls’ Games Jude Pyves, which has seen her before an extremely valued member of the U9 squad that has enjoyed some incredible success this season.
Fleur’s academic talents are also a source of great pride for both herself and the school, in particular areas such as Art, English and Science where she continues to show promise.
This is further reflected in her efforts during Rydal Penrhos’ Spelling Challenge in recent years, which have resulted in a series of successful level completions as Fleur continues to strive for gold.
Rydal Penrhos will be holding Senior and Prep Open Morning events on Friday, April 26 and Saturday 27 from 9.30am, and to book your place contact Admissions Officer Jenny Marsden on 01492 530155 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
