In the lead-up to our Open Morning events in April, we will be taking a look at the pupils that make Rydal Penrhos such a fantastic place to live and learn.
The latest Prep School pupil under the spotlight is Dominic Chamberlain:
- Name: Dominic Chamberlain
- Year group: Year 5
- Pupil status: Prep
- House: Snowdon
A multi-talented individual with a fantastic attitude, Dominic is another that has an incredibly bright future if he continues to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities on offer at Rydal Penrhos.
The nine-year-old can be enormously proud of the way he is progressing since joining the Prep School as a Nursery child in 2011, and he has emerged as one of the most prominent members of both the Year 4 group thanks to his tireless efforts across varying subjects and events.
His exploits on the rugby field have played a huge contributing factor in the recent success of the Prep School department, with the pupil performed fantastically well for the U9 side throughout the campaign and during their impressive Cooper Cup victory.
This has been matched by his performances in the swimming pool, with the Snowdon House member part of a large contingent that not only qualified for the Urdd National Gala, but also performed exceptionally well during the highly competitive event.
Dominic has also shown quite a talent on stage, which was further demonstrated by his performance in the annual Year 4 play of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which saw him perform a vocal solo and shown superb chemistry with classmates Cameron Pye, Archie Jeeves, Will Glanville and Angelo Katsouris.
Martial Arts is another huge passion that Dominic is currently thriving in, and he has managed to secure a host of Karate grading triumphs as part of the John Lynn Black Belt Academy in Colwyn Bay.
He is progressing every area of his academic studies under the guidance of Rydal Penrhos’ committed and passionate staff, and is a regular contributor to a wide range of areas throughout school life including the Eco Committee.
Rydal Penrhos will be holding Senior and Prep Open Morning events on Friday, April 26 and Saturday 27 from 9.30am, and to book your place contact Admissions Officer Jenny Marsden on 01492 530155 or email email@example.com.
