Prep School weekly awards: May 4

A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the week thanks to an ongoing initiative.

As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgement scheme, pupils across all age groups were selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts.

The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners were announced by Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 4.

Reception: William Culver - for trying hard to spell his high-frequency words. 

Year 1: Lissy Williams - for her effort, focus and success in independent writing. 

Year 2: All for their efforts at their Athletics afternoon.                  

3JW: Noah Roberts - for smaller handwriting and being a super example to others. 

4CEC: Izhran Shah - for his dodgeball prowess.

5CC: Grace Watkins & Chloe Tillman-Lennon - for an inspired piece of English homework advertising a Pop Gun. For producing a mature and thoughtful article about the Ironbridge for her English homework.

5JP: Louis Walkden-Williams - for his constant cheerful attitude.

6AG: Jake McDonald - for showing initiative and enthusiasm during the multi-sport event. 

6JM: Jonah Craddock - for the progress he has made in coding in ICT.

We are also delighted to announce the Stars of the Week winners for April 27, which are found below.

Reception: Archie Green - for his lovely handwriting.

Year 1: Darcey Taylor - for working with increasing confidence in Maths

Year 2: Steffan Atenstaedt, Lexi-May Williams & Oscar Jewsbury - for becoming much-coveted free readers.

3JW: Lewis Jellicoe - for working so well in ICT.

4CEC: Cameron Pye - for super participation and engagement in games this week.

5CC: Whole Class - for their excellent behaviour and super enthusiasm in all activities during the trip to Ironbridge.

5JP: Whole Class - for entering fully into the opportunities offered on the Ironbridge trip and for being so well mannered and enthusiastic.

6AG: Aidan van Rooyen - for confident and clear reading in assembly.

6JM: Elise Mazars - for her help in interpreting in English & French for a prospective family.
