A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work thanks to an ongoing initiative.
As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement scheme, pupils across all age groups were selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts throughout the week.
The worthy recipients received their respective awards from Prep School Head Alison Hind and Executive Principal John Waszek at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, March 15.
Reception: Ashaz Owais - for being so interested in his studies.
Year 1: Angus de Ferranti - for always being such a lovely polite and hard-working member of the class.
Year 2: Beatrice Brookes-Fazakerley & Darcey Taylor - for becoming free readers.
3JW: Tomas Milligan - for working hard all the time this week.
4CEC: Felix Griffin - for his excellent problem solving skills in Maths.
5JP: Ellie Knight - for her enterprise skills in organising the Red Nose Activities.
6CC: Pip Roberts - for her efficient approach & organisation when hosting the Art Exhibition (Mrs Hind's Award)
6JM: Molly Alefounder - for her dramatically improved handwriting!
A superb canvas painting of the coastline saw Head Girl Grace Watkins secure the Artist of the Week Award from teacher Suzy Morris, and Ella Payne’s exceptional efforts in the classroom saw her presented with a coveted Pen Licence.
The Pre-Prep Class of the Week went to Year 2 thanks to their excellent conduct, with Year 5 claiming the Prep Class of the Week distinction from Assistant Head Catherine Hughes.
