Prep School weekly awards: January 26

A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the week thanks to an ongoing initiative.

As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgment scheme, pupils across all age groups were selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts.

The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners were announced by Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, January 26:

Reception: Adhira Nimalan - for her fab participation in Welsh. 

Year 1: Clara Donohue - for beautiful number formation and independent work in Maths. 

Year 2: Eryn Mart - for her mature and diligent approach in all aspects of school life. 

3JW: April Williams - for being an excellent example of good behaviour and always being polite. 

4CEC: Ellie Knight - for a consistently good approach to home reading and homework.

5CC: Ellis Lister-Brookes - for having a great attitude towards Rugby & showing aggression in tackling!

5JP: Pippa Roberts - for some great mental Maths work. 

6AG: Jake McDonald - for improved organisation and for being supportive and kind to his friends. 

6JM: Cerys Williams - for her energetic and confident approach to school life. 

This week saw a pair of pupils receive their pen licenses thanks to their efforts in the classroom, with Shane Ayeni and Gabriele Donohue picking up their certificate.

It has been another busy few days at the Art department, and the superb Van Gogh inspired self-portrait of Bill Gan saw him given the Artist of the Week accolade from teacher Suzy Morris.
