A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the week thanks to an ongoing initiative.
As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgment scheme, pupils across all age groups were selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts.
The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners were announced by Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, January 19:
Reception: Angus de Ferranti - for working hard in Maths.
Year 1: Oscar Kennedy-Evans - for always being a star helper.
Year 2: Eleanor Turner - for her deliciously accurate decoding and thespian intonation when she reads.
3JW: Sophie Morris - for beautiful manners and always taking care with her presentation.
4CEC: Rafe Tunstall - for trying hard with his handwriting this week.
5CC: Fflur Pierce - for her excellent attitude towards all subjects.
5JP: Cieran Milligan - for great use of punctuation and grammar.
6AG: James Gilman - for working well within a group to create a persuasive pitch in English.
6JM: Matthew Johnson - for his determination and positive attitude in rugby and maths.
A fantastic painting from William Rutherford earned him the Artist of the Week award from teacher Suzy Morris, and the creation received a generous round of applause during the assembly.
Rounding off the achievements were Ethan, Shane, Fleur, Lily, Charlie, Tomas, Jaxson, Louis, Will and Ella, who were acknowledged for their efforts on the slopes with Star Skier certificates.
