A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the first week back following the Christmas break thanks to an ongoing initiative.
As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgment scheme, pupils across all age groups have been selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts throughout the week.
The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners were announced by Headmaster Simon Smith Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, January 12:
Reception: Harrison Holland - for his hard work in Read Write Inc.
Year 1: Ella Ffowcs Williams - for settling into the school so well.
Year 2: Charlie Lister-Brookes - for his mathematical accuracy and confidence in two-digit addition.
3JW: Grayson Williams - for being such an excellent example of good behaviour and always working hard.
4CEC: William Glanville - for learning his lines off by heart already.
5CC: William Hibbert - for approaching his English work with enthusiasm.
5JP: Rana Abou-Samra - for some great independent work this week.
6AG: Ella Northcott - for excellent work in Maths & English.
6JM: James Mann - for his positive attitude and approach to school since returning after Christmas.
Year 4 pupil Lily Copeland saw in the New Year in style with a detailed portrait, which was enough for Art teacher Suzy Morris to present her with the Artist of the Week honour.
