A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the week thanks to an ongoing initiative.
As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgement scheme, pupils across all age groups were selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts.
The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners were announced by Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, February 9.
Reception: Jacob de la Mare Norris - for being kind and helpful to his friends.
Year 1: Ethan Reeves - for improved focus and independence in written work.
Year 2: Angus Holland - for his enthusiastic contributions during independent writing.
3JW: Bill Gan - for working hard on adverbs.
4CEC: Amelia Williams - for her effort and enthusiasm for the 500-word story writing competition.
5CC: Daisy Yates - for writing a well thought out Free Verse Poem.
5JP: Sophie Edwards - for her enthusiasm and expertise on the netball court.
6AG: Ella Northcott - for being the only girl at Fives Club and really improving her skills.
6JM: Liam Farrell - for his exemplary attitude and appetite for learning Maths.
Year 3 have been working very hard on their Vincent Van Gogh inspired self-portraits, and Charlie Hulme’s impressive creation earned him the Artist of the Week Award from teacher Suzy Morris.
