Prep School weekly awards: December 1

A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the week thanks to an ongoing initiative.

As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgment scheme, pupils across all age groups have been selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts throughout the week.

The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners were announced by Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, December 1:

Reception: Rufus Glanville - for working so hard in all his lessons. 

Year 1: Lissy Williams - for effort and progress in reading. 

Year 2: Lexi-May Williams - for her fabulous handwriting and increasing confidence in Literacy. 

3JW: James Davies - for always working hard. 

4CEC: Lucy Ranales-Griffiths - for a lovely creative poem about her kittens. 

5CC: Keira Luke - for writing a well-structured and detailed letter to a friend in our Big Write session. 

5JP: Sophie Edwards - for her positive attitude to cross-country.

6AG: Isabel Stubbings - for good organisation and determination in Maths & English.

6JM: Perry Williams - for his continued development and contribution in Maths. 

Music teacher Richard Davies was sufficiently impressed with the efforts of Harrison Simmons and presented him with the Singer of the Week Award, and there were a host of skiing accolades to hand out with Skier of the Week, including a whole group that managed to scale the full Llandudno dry slope for the very first time.
