A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work thanks to an ongoing initiative.
As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement scheme, pupils across all age groups were selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts throughout the week.
The worthy recipients received their respective awards from Prep School Head Alison Hind at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, April 5.
Reception: Camilla Simmons - for her positive attitude, and consistently good work across the curriculum.
Year 1: Archie Green
Year 2: Lily Robinson-Scoots, Francesca Berklay, Beatrice Brookes Fazakerley, Ela Lloyd Bloom, Elliott Spall, Charlotte Knight, Ella Ffowcs Williams, Alexandra Lopez Moreno, Clara Donohue, Lissy Williams, Darcey Taylor - for their fabulous performance of 'Three Trees' in assembly.
Year 3: Steffan Atenstaedt - for working hard on his handwriting.
Year 4: Jorvan Toor - for his super diary entry in English the week.
Year 5: Clarence Chasteau - his amazing progress and confidence in English; writing and reading his 'Just So' story to Year 1 and explaining long multiplication to the class.
Year 6: Freya Berklay - for the support and guidance that she gave to the younger pupils during our inter-house netball matches.
Year 6: Gabe Donohue - for being thoughtful and considerate to those around him.
Joshua Williams turned a piece of newspaper into a fine art piece that saw him scoop the Artist of the Week Award from teacher Suzy Morris, with Rafe Tunstall, Clarence Chasteau and Sophie Winters-Jones rewarded for their exceptional efforts in the classroom with Pen Licences.
The coveted Pre-Prep Class of the Week went to Year 2, with Year 3 coming away with the Prep School Class of the Week.
