Rydal Penrhos Preparatory School has appointed its Head Boy and Head Girl for the current academic year.
The announcement was made by Headmaster Simon Smith and Deputy Head Alison Hind at the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, October 20 and the candidates were selected following an initial trial period and evaluation.
Year 6 pupil James Gilman was given the honour of Head Boy, with the ten-year-old exceptionally gifted in a wide number of areas including academic and sporting.
The Head Girl distinction was awarded to Cerys Williams, who has also firmly established herself as a prominent member of the Prep School and is set to bring a significant amount to the role.
Working with the new appointments will be the newly appointed Deputy Head Boy, who will be Sailing sensation Liam Farrell, while the role of Deputy Head Girl has been given jointly to Ella Northcott and India Livingstone.
Mrs Hind, said: “These appointments have come as a direct result of each pupil’s outstanding commitment they have shown throughout their time here at Rydal Penrhos, and we are confident that they are going to excel even further in their roles of responsibility.
“Not only will they be tasked with leading their team, but they will also serve as role models to young members of the school community, in addition to serving as an inspiration to those who wish to emulate their success in the coming years.”
