A host of Preparatory School pupils continued their excellent run of Karate grading results with further success last weekend.
No fewer than six budding martial artists at Rydal Penrhos moved one step up the ladder after successfully coming through their assessments, which were held at John Lynn’s Black Belt Academy in Colwyn Bay on Sunday, June 11.
The triumphs began with Lucy Ranales-Griffiths continuing her recent run of good results with her Brown Belt/White honour, while Ellie Knight was another to shine and was rewarded with a Brown Belt Tabs recognition.
Year 2 pupil Floyd Curtis is now the proud holder of a Brown Belt after impressing adjudicators, with Charlotte Knight and Archie Summers-Chestworth securing a Yellow Belt Tabs and Yellow Belt respectively.
Rounding off the accolades was seven-year-old William Cheesley, who got his hands on a Green Belt Tabs after another notable effort.
All will now begin working hard with instructors at the Academy in the hope of gaining further grading success in the future.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “This is yet more fantastic work from our pupils outside of the classroom and all of them are to be congratulated on their efforts.
“To see so many of them performing so well under pressure is a testament to their hard work and dedication to their craft, and there is no doubt that this attitude will spur them on to even more awards in the future.”
