A visiting North West school spent the day at Rydal Penrhos to enhance their performing skills.
Prenton Preparatory School pupils took part in a special Play in a Day scheme on Wednesday, January 24, where they worked with English and Drama teacher Fiona Earle and Head of Music Pete Williams.
The visitors were tasked with learning three songs, together with a trio of scenes from the iconic Charles Dickens story Great Expectations, in addition to an introductory scene with no prior knowledge of the piece.
After a day of rehearsals, the pupils then performed their final piece at the Rick Maple Drama Studio in-front of the entire Year 6 group, who paid the Senior School a visit, especially for the play.
Mr Williams, said: “Every pupil put in a wonderful effort and they did extraordinarily well to learn so much in a relatively short space of time.
“Our Year 6 pupils that took in the performance really enjoyed it, and wanted to have a go at the Play in a Day for themselves after seeing how much those from Prenton Prep had enjoyed themselves.
“I would like to thank our visitors for their exemplary behaviour throughout the day and I hope they got a great deal out of the whole experience.”
