Places are filling up fast on a sensational scuba diving trip being put on by Rydal Penrhos later this year.
The pupils will travel to one of Europe’s most notorious diving areas for a week-long adventure, which is part of the school’s Activity Week at the end of the academic year.
The trip will depart on Wednesday, June 28 and return on July 5.
Organised by Head of Swimming Maciej Ruszkowski, Rydal Penrhos has teamed up with high-profile company Scuba Kings for the voyage to Goza, Malta, where they will be exploring reefs, shipwrecks and caverns of the Maltese islands.
There will also be the opportunity to take part in some sea kayaking during their trip.
A Scuba King spokesman, said: “Gozo has caves, caverns, wrecks, stunning drop-offs, amazing visibility and much warmer water than many other areas of the Mediterranean.
“The diving is easy as there are multitude of great dive sites that are no further than 10 minutes away by jeep, meaning pupils’ will spend their holiday diving, not travelling, as you would on mainland Malta.”
This trip will be led by Gethin Roberts (UKCC Level 3 Sea Kayak coach) and Mr Ruszkowski (PADI Scuba Diving Instructor).
He added: “This really is a sensational opportunity for our pupils to explore one of the most fascinating scuba diving locations anywhere in the world.
“Everyone is really looking forward to the experience and it promises to be a trip that will live long in the memory for pupils and staff alike.”
Only a small number of places remain, and anyone wishing to book or for more information is urged to contact Mr Ruszkowski via email at MRuszkowski@rydalpenrhos.com
