Preparatory School skiers took to the slopes for a special annual event to mark the end of term.
Rydal Penrhos’ annual Inter-House Skiing Championship was held prior to the Easter break, which saw Snowdon, Brecon and Pembroke compete in their hope of securing the overall crown.
It proved to be another outstanding showcase of talent across all year groups, and after a hugely competitive event, Pembroke emerged victorious.
House representatives Will Rutherford, Perry Williams, Isabella Peevor and Sophie Hall collected the coveted trophy from Rydal Penrhos’ Easter service on Wednesday, March 28.
A host of certificates were also given out during the service to those that had successfully completed the ski session programme at Llandudno, which is held over a number of weeks throughout the academic year.
The school’s skiing programme is one of many opportunities available to each pupil at Rydal Penrhos, which are organised by staff and utilises Rydal Penrhos’ fantastic facilities and stunning location.
Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod, said: “It was another fantastic competition and a great way to round off a fantastic series of sessions once again.
“Skiing is something different that we offer and this is something that is taken advantage of fully by a large number of pupils, who really get a confidence boost going down the slopes which will stand them in very good stead in other areas of their life.”
