PC Vicky Roscoe visits for day-long Personal, Social and Health Education sessions

Preparatory School pupils were visited by a crime-fighter from the region as part of a specially arranged visit.

PC Vicky Roscoe, of North Wales Police, spent the day at Rydal Penrhos on Wednesday, January 16, where she spend time with each year group during a series of special Personal, Social and Health Education sessions.

There were a host of different topics discussed during the day, including “who to talk to” in times of trouble, what the job of Police Constable and some question and answer sessions.

This is the latest in a series of visits from community figures to the Prep School throughout the academic year, which have been implemented with a view to enhancing the learning of each child learning at the facility.

Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “We were extremely grateful to PC Roscoe for giving up so much of her time for our pupils, who I know got a tremendous amount out of their respective sessions.

“We take pride in giving our children not only the very best platform in terms of their education, but also preparing them for various other elements of their development such as wellbeing, social skills and important matters relating to their health.

“This is an essential part of their growth and visits like the one given by PC Roscoe boost this considerably.”
