A host of international pupils at Rydal Penrhos were invited to attend a special Rotary International event recently.
Eight pupils from the school, all representing different nationalities, were guests at a Rotary Club of Colwyn Bay dinner earlier this month.
During the event, which took place at Colwyn Bay Cricket Club, the group spoke individually about their different countries and how their culture differs from what they are experiencing in the UK, before tucking in to a themed dinner with rotary members.
American Will Crumb, Jule Mayer (Germany), Jonas Lucas-Nuelle (Germany), Mayowale Adekeye (Nigeria), Alexia Radu (Romania), Eric Zhou (China), Nils Memmi-Bonstrom (France) and Lennart Paulsen (Germany) were some of the pupils that attended, and this is the latest in a series of community events that the school is involved with throughout the academic year.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “We were delighted to be invited by the Rotary Club of Colwyn Bay for their international evening once again, which I know that each pupil got an enormous amount out of.
“We are very proud of our community links here at Rydal Penrhos, and the diverse culture that live and learn at the school on a daily basis is something that is very unique to the area and benefits our hard-working and approachable pupils enormously.”
