Outstanding LAMDA success for Middle School group

A plethora of Speech and Drama pupils at Rydal Penrhos recorded outstanding results from their recent London Academy of Music and Dramatic art assessments.

The contingent were rewarded for their exceptional commitment under the expert guidance of Christina Bloomfield, and they officially received their certificates last week.

Emma Hackman and Sophie Madden headed the Year 9 success stories with Distinctions in their Grade 4 examinations, with Lili Northcott and Niall Richardson attaining a High Merit and Merti marks at Grade 5 and Grade 3 level.

There was further cause for celebration in the form of Year 10 trio Sophie Williams, Bella Rutherford and Shruthi Ganapathi thanks to their Distinctions at Grade 5, with Beau Holden, Josh Peevor and Darcie Harker-Weston securing a High Merit at the same level of difficulty.

Damisola Animashaun, Ellen Jones and Philippa Thomas recorded a High Merit at Grade 4, Isobel Rogerson achieved a Merit at Grade 4 and Ethan Chan and Derek Ho emerged from their Public Speaking Grade 3 assessments with a High Merit and Merit respectively.

Year 11 duo Amanda Sperring and Anna Parry-Williams gained Distinctions from their Grade 5 exam, and Alicia Zhou managed to achieve a Grade 5 High Merit.

Rounding off the accolades from a Rydal Penrhos perspective were Vanessa Ma’s Grade 4 Merit performance and Stein Lai’s Public Speaking Grade 3 High Merit.

Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “This was another outstanding set of results from our Speech and Drama pupil, who are all thriving thanks to yet another wonderful opportunity afforded to them and each pupil living and learning here at Rydal Penrhos.”
